In addition, June's team won the Division 1-D on Saturday and qualified for the Finals on Sunday by clocking a time of 16.24 seconds. The top 16 fastest times on Saturday qualified for the finals and we entered the championships on Sunday as the 11th seed. Although we got knocked out of the championship rounds by those 15.something second teams, we were very proud and excited to make it that far at our first trip to the nationals. June ran great as the anchor dog on her team and turned in some 3.8 and 3.9 second heats.
(4/2009) The Leigh border collies had a great weekend at the Charleston Dog Training Club AKC Agility Trial.
Brett finished his Novice Fast Preferred title and his Open Jumpers Preferred title with two first places.

Tarheel Circuit 3/2009- June finished her RN with not quite as stellar a performance as her first two legs - she had a 92, losing points by treating the first go at the pylons like they were weave poles! Once I caught her, she had a pretty good finish!! But still very proud of the June Bug.3/2009 -June went to her first rally trial in March 2009 at the Hilton Head Kennel Club dog shows. She did Penny proud by winning first place with a 99 in Rally Novice B on Sunday and taking third place with a 98 on Saturday.
