Penny and June

Penny has been involved in competition dog sports for 20 years. Her achievements include titling dogs in conformation, obedience, agility, rally, herding, flyball and retriever hunt tests. She currently competes with border collies and flat-coated retrievers. She is the former doggy daycare manager at Town & Country and currently works for the American Kennel Club operating headquarters in Raleigh.

Penny teaches flyball, upper-level agility and the Focus class.

Debra has 35+ years experience in training and showing dogs. She owns and competes with her Golden Retrievers. She has earned numerous advanced level obedience titles and agility titles with her dogs. She also cross-trains in field work with her retrievers.

Debra teaches our Puppy Kindergarten class on Sundays.

Laura Grainger
Laura got started in competitive dogs sports over 15 years ago. She currently owns and competes with Greater Swiss Mountain Dogs in conformation, obedience, rally, pack dog, weight pull, herding, and drafting (carting). She's also put various obedience and performance titles on her now-retired Australian Shepherd.

Laura is the Operations Director for AKC Companion Animal Recovery, based in Raleigh.


Laura teaches all levels of Rally and occasionally teaches sections of Focus, Senior Puppy, Puppy K, and CGC.

Pam

Pam’s fascination and 20+ year involvement with the “dog world” was fostered by one of her best friends, Susan Jones of Sleepytime Kennels. Pam became very interested in conformation and the performance sports and the bond that seems to exist between dog and handler.

Pam competes in agility and rally with Remy and they hold several titles in both.  Remy has been awarded his CGC and is a registered Therapy Dog.  Their dachshund, Pepperini, and other toy poodle, AlaFair, have both been awarded their CGC.

In addition to teaching at Town and Country and working at Rex Healthcare, Pam owns a small business named "3 Dogs inc" (www.mydogs3.com)

Pam teaches Intro to Agility and Senior Puppy.

Patty has owned and shown Siberian Huskies for many years and has earned numerous titles on her dogs, including in Conformation, Obedience and Rally. She is a former trainer at the Nashville (Tenn.) Dog Training Club and moved to Raleigh to work for the American Kennel Club.

Patty teaches the Family Manners/Canine Good Citizen class, Puppy K, and Intro to Rally.

 

Jennifer Schlotfeldt

Jennifer

Jennifer is a recent graduate of Animal Behavior College and interned with the T&C trainers for a year. Jennifer grew up with Siberian Huskies and currently lives with one Huskie and a Border Collie. She has experience working in the dog daycare field.

Jennifer teaches Senior Puppy, Graduate Puppy, and CGC/Family Manners.

Tanisha

Tanisha is the newest addition to the T&C training staff. She has been competing in flyball for 9 years with Go Dog Go! Flyball Club of Raleigh. She is an avid dog lover and worked as a vet tech for 11 yrs. She has 2 dogs, Rufus, a 10 yr old shepherd mix who races on a veterans team, and Blaze, a 5 yr old BC rescue from the Wake County SPCA. Flyball is her most favorite dog sport but she also dabbles in agility and frisbee.

Tanisha teaches Flyball and Intro Agility.
